Microchips
Microchipping Your Pet
Every year, thousands of pets go missing—and many never make it back home. A microchip is one of the simplest and most reliable ways to help ensure your pet’s safe return.
What is a Microchip?
A microchip is a tiny device, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted just under your pet’s skin (usually between the shoulder blades). Each chip has a unique ID number that connects to your contact information in a national pet recovery database.
How It Works
If your lost pet is taken to a shelter, vet, or rescue, staff will scan for a chip.
The chip number appears and is matched with the microchip company.
The company provides your contact details, and you’ll be contacted right away.
Why Microchip?
Permanent ID – Unlike collars or tags, a chip can’t be lost.
Better Odds – Microchipped pets are far more likely to be reunited with their families.
Quick & Safe – Implanting a chip is fast, safe, and feels like a routine vaccination.
Important: Keep your registration info current. If you move or change your number, update your microchip right away—otherwise it can’t do its job.
